profile photo of Dr Andrea Giraldez-Hayes Andrea is an academic and practitioner with over 30 years of international experience in Spain and the UK. She is currently an Associate Professor and Director of the MSt in Coaching at the University of Cambridge, as well as a Visiting Fellow at Buckinghamshire New University, where she teaches Positive Psychology. Her previous academic appointments include Programme Director for the MSc in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology at the University of East London and Senior Lecturer in Music Education at the University of Valladolid in Spain. A Chartered Psychologist, she brings a rich interdisciplinary background to her work.

Her research focuses on the use of arts and creativity to enhance individual and community wellbeing. She is Associate Editor for several leading journals, including Coaching: An International Journal of Theory, Research and Practice, and the International Coaching Psychology Review.

Andrea has been a guest lecturer and an independent community arts consultant in multiple countries, including Spain, the UK, Australia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru, Chile, Uruguay, and Argentina. Her recent publications include Arts-Based Coaching: Using Creative Tools to Promote Self-Expression (Routledge) and the Routledge International Handbook of Wellbeing Arts: Arts and Everyday Aesthetics as Positive Psychology Interventions.
