The International Music Education Research Centre (iMerc) is lead by Professor Graham F Welch, who holds the Institute of Education, University of London Established Chair of Music Education and is Head of the Insitute's School of Arts and Humanities. Professor Welch is also Chair of the Society for Education, Music and Psychology Research (SEMPRE).

Co-ordinator of the International Music Education Research Centre (iMerc) is Evangelos Himonides, Lecturer in I.T. & Music Technology Education and Research Officer at the Institute of Education, University of London.
